The neighborhood

Inaugurated in June 1934, the Gratte-Ciel buildings in Villeurbanne are 80 years old. A social and architectural masterpiece, this set of public buildings and social housing with rather modern perspectives for the time has become a symbol of the city.

Villeurbanne offers all the benefits of a large city within a greener and calmer environment, with direct proximity to the chic 6th district and the Part-Dieu area. Whether by metro, tram, or bus, you'll have quick access to all Lyon's neighborhoods thanks to the numerous public transport options.

Villeurbanne has a vibrant neighborhood life: young people, families, and retirees all live here. It offers many cultural structures, sports complexes, associations, shops, schools, high schools, and universities.

The diversity of its inhabitants makes the uniqueness and richness of this city. Villeurbanne boasts a strong cultural heritage, with historical landmarks such as the Gratte-Ciel buildings, the City Hall, the National Theatre, the Anatole France School, the Maison du Livre de l'Image et du Son, Studio 24, the Astroballe (ASVEL basketball stadium), and the former Bayard and Bally factories. Take Bus C3 towards Laurent Bonnevay and get off at the "Institut d'Art Contemporain" stop. The apartment is a 6-minute walk away.

From St Exupéry Airport to the apartment:
Take the Rhône Express towards Gare de Part-Dieu and get off at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie. Then, take Metro Line A towards Perrache and get off at the "République - Villeurbanne" stop. The apartment is a 7-minute walk away.
