This practical and functional studio is located in a quiet building, perfect for a short or extended stay in Lyon.

🛏️ A sleeping loft with a double bed (140x190 cm, mattress on the floor) and a bedside lamp.
Loft height: 60 cm – Height below loft: 1.80 m – Access via steep stairs.

🍳 A fully equipped kitchenette: 2-burner stovetop, mini-fridge, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, dishes, and kitchen utensils.

🍽️ A dining area with a table and two chairs.

🛁 A bathroom with a shower, vanity unit, toilet, heated towel rail, and hairdryer.

🧺 Washing machine, clothes horse, iron and ironing board, broom and bucket available.

The neighborhood

Villeurbanne combines the benefits of a big city with a greener and quieter environment, with direct proximity to the chic 6th arrondissement and the Part-Dieu district. By metro, tram, or bus, you will have quick access to all neighborhoods in Lyon thanks to extensive public transport options.

Villeurbanne offers a rich and lively community life: from youth to families and retirees, the area provides numerous cultural centers, sports complexes, associations, shops, schools, high schools, and universities.

The diversity of its residents is what gives Villeurbanne its originality and charm. With a strong cultural heritage, it includes historic sites such as the Gratte-Ciel, the City Hall, the National Popular Theater, Anatole France School, the Maison du Livre, de l'Image et du Son, Studio 24, the Astroballe (ASVEL), and the former Bayard and Bally factories. The city continues to develop with new neighborhoods like the Terrain des Sœurs, where our current project, Carrare, is located.
• Culture: with various venues and large, community-friendly events that enliven the area. Public and private theaters (TNP, Théâtre de l’IRIS), the National Music School, concert halls (Toï Toï Le Zinc and the Transbordeur), the IAC (Institute of Contemporary Art), an independent cinema (Le Zola, with a retro touch), cultural centers (Rize and the CCO), a Ninkasi like in Lyon, the Maison de l’Image et du Son (THE city media library), Les Invites, the short film festival, the children’s book festival.

The Brotteaux neighborhood, typically Lyonnaise, with its terraces and festive venues
The Gratte-Ciel area, the heart of Villeurbanne, showcases a typical 1930s architecture (City Hall, TNP...) and many food shops
Les Puces du Canal: a charming market similar to Saint-Ouen and a refreshing alternative to expensive hipster thrift stores
The Transbordeur, THE best concert hall in Lyon (in my opinion…) is located in Villeurbanne!
An excellent network of libraries with numerous events throughout the year
The Institute of Contemporary Art, with sharp exhibitions, is nearby!
The “Invites” festival, which attracts more and more Lyon residents each year
The famous Parc de la Tête d'Or and its zoo
All other Lyon neighborhoods accessible within 15 minutes by public transport.

PART-DIEU STATION / APARTMENT (20 minutes):
To reach the apartment from Part-Dieu Station, take metro line B towards Charpennes and get off at Charpennes. Then take metro line A towards Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie and get off at Gratte-Ciel. The apartment is a 10-minute walk away.

St EXUPERY AIRPORT / APARTMENT (46 minutes):
To reach the apartment from St Exupéry Airport, take the Rhône Xpress towards Part-Dieu Station and get off at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie. Then take metro line A towards Perrache and get off at Gratte-Ciel. The apartment is a 10-minute walk away.
