The neighborhood

Lyon is famous for its restaurants, from traditional "bouchons Lyonnais" to numerous Michelin-starred establishments. You'll also find many barges along the Rhône offering lovely dining settings.

Located right in the city center, you’ll be surrounded by typical Lyonnais buildings, the large Place des Jacobins, the famous Place Bellecour, and my favorite spot in summer—the Saône Riverbanks, ideal for a stroll in the evening with views of the Medieval Vieux Lyon district and the Basilica of Fourvière.

Favorite Spots: Many to choose from, so don’t hesitate to reach out based on your preferences!

Great Bakeries/Desserts:

Le Pain des Jacobins, delicious and nearby
Boulangerie du Palais, known for praline desserts
Pralus, famous for its praline brioche—highly recommended!

Les Muses de l’Opéra: for drinks with a beautiful view atop the Opera building
La Cuisine: traditional cuisine and bar
La Cave des Voyageurs (in Vieux Lyon): wine tasting from small producers with great apéro platters
The barges along the Rhône river, ideal for enjoying a drink on the terraces
