The neighborhood

The Guillotière neighborhood

Historically, La Guillotière was once its own town. It became part of Lyon in 1852. The neighborhood includes the northern part of the 7th arrondissement and extends into part of the 3rd arrondissement towards Place Gabriel-Péri. This originally working-class district has long been a stronghold of immigration, home to many Maghreb, Asian, and African communities. In recent years, the area has undergone significant transformation and is now lively and highly sought after by Lyonnais who wish to live in Lyon 7, near the banks of the Rhône River and close to everything. The neighborhood offers a rich cultural scene, numerous nightlife spots, and alternative spaces.

Getting around

The neighborhood is well-served by trams, metros, bikes, and the Rhône riverbanks, just a 5-minute walk away.

PART-DIEU STATION / APARTMENT: To get to the apartment from Part-Dieu train station, take metro line B towards Gare d'Oullins and get off at Saxe-Gambetta. The apartment is a 5-minute walk.

ST EXUPERY AIRPORT / APARTMENT: To get to the apartment from St Exupéry Airport, take the Rhône Xpress towards Part-Dieu station and get off at Part-Dieu. Then take metro line B towards Gare d'Oullins and get off at Saxe-Gambetta. The apartment is a 5-minute walk.
